Creating memories through ceremony and celebration.

Ceremonies

Hello and welcome to The Celebrant Gold Coast where we create memories through ceremony and celebration. As a registered Marriage Celebrant living on the Gold Coast in Queensland and serving the Gold Coast and hinterland and the Tweed Valley in northern NSW, I’m here to guide you through everything you need to know about getting married in Australia.

No greater honour can you receive than the love of another to build and travel a life journey together. Whether it’s your first time or next time around; or it’s boy meets girl, girl meets girl or boy meets boy, it’s all about formally recognising your journey with family and friends and creating beautiful memories.

Your marriage ceremony will be the most personal time of your wedding day; a small window when you both come together to pledge your love through the exchange of vows and to officially begin your journey as a couple. You will want to find a registered marriage celebrant who you connect with and trust, who can listen to your story and create a ceremony that’s a perfect fit for you.

You may already have a clear vision of how you would like your wedding ceremony to unfold. Or perhaps your journey is about exploring ideas and concepts and letting the journey unfold as it is meant to be. Whether it be the uniqueness of a bespoke ceremony, an intimate traditional ceremony with your nearest and dearest or the secret thrill of an elopement. Whatever you choose The Celebrant Gold Coast will be there to guide and support you and help you create your perfect ceremony.

I will assist you in crafting a ceremony that is as individual as you are; a ceremony that brings together all the cultural, personal and spiritual elements that are important to you both.

My biggest thrill as your Celebrant, is listening to your story and then weaving the highlights into your ceremony. Perhaps it’s how you first met on that awkward first date, that unique proposal or a funny story that will have your guests laughing out loud which by the way is a great soother of the nerves.

In the weeks leading up to your wedding, you can expect your journey with me to be relaxed affair as I guide you through the legalities of your upcoming nuptials as well as the practicalities of what will happen on the day of your wedding. Need help with your vows? I’m a great story listener and avid story teller, so I can give you some great ideas to ponder.

You will receive a beautifully handcrafted ceremonial marriage certificate, created by our master calligrapher and presented immediately after your ceremony so your chosen photographer can include it in your photographic portfolio from the day. You will also receive a transcript of your ceremony to share together after the ceremony because we all know how the day flies past so quickly. It’s also a nice memento to revisit on your first anniversary and beyond to renew your vows to each other. You will be free to relax and enjoy the celebrations knowing that all the legal paperwork has been taken care of and will be submitted to Births, Deaths and Marriages (BDM) in the state of your marriage within 14 days of your ceremony.

If your wish is to create a bespoke ceremony that signifies the love you have for each other, whether on a grand scale or an intimate gathering then let’s have an obligation free chat either in person or via Zoom to see if we are a good fit.  At our first meeting I will explain everything you need to know about getting married in Australia including the documentation required.

I also specialise in weekday and evening weddings and small intimate ceremonies. What about an early morning ceremony as the sun rises over the horizon and sharing bacon, eggs and croissants with champagne with your guests?  And for those wanting to escape the stresses of managing a large affair, please ask me about my elopement package or the new/old player on the block, the Micro Wedding. Worried about getting married in a pandemic? Don’t be, as I have a couple of options you can consider.

Please note that all ceremonies must adhere to Government rules and regulations in the State where your wedding is held during the period of the Covid-19 pandemic as it relates to social distancing, sanitisation, vaccination and number of guests in attendance. But the good news is you won’t lose your deposit with me if you have to defer your wedding for up to 12 months courtesy of Covid lockdowns.

I look forward to meeting you soon.
